I study the lived experience and activity of persons using new technologies and services, for improving life quality through appropriate design. Two principal application domains are addressed : interactions in work settings and appropriation of new modes of ecological mobility (e.g. car-pooling, electric car). Emotional comfort and discomfort (linked to fear, stress, trust/mistrust,…), is a central concept in my work, including its sources and the emotional processes during the activity. I also deepen the following methodological issue: how to enable the verbalisation of the user lived experience with “re-situating” interviews, the possible supports for remembering, and the articulation with the observable behaviour.
